Linda A.

As one of two Assistant Director’s, Linda A. has been involved in music all her life. She grew up singing with her family, school chorus, girl’s choral groups, mixed choral traveling group in college, church choirs and Sweet Adelines. She is a certified director and has accompanied and directed children’s choirs, teen choirs, and our own Sweet Adeline chorus.
Being a part of HSC has given her the opportunity to learn and sing from a large genre of music and enjoy the friendship of the wonderfully caring women of this chorus.

Music has been such an important part of our second Assistant Director’s life – in school, church and Sweet Adelines. Linda joined the chorus in 1975, then became the director of the Antelope Valley Chorus from 1988-1994, and co-directed the chorus from 2003-2006.
She is also a Certified Director singing Baritone and Bass and enjoying both very much!

Kira Wagner
b
Kira started directing in church at the age of eight and took that love for music to the youth as an independent contractor for the Napa Valley School District. She worked with K-12 students for 20 years and during that time, began singing with Sweet Adelines.
The combination of directing and teaching choral music led to directing both women and men’s barbershop in Northern California from 1993 to 1999 when she relocated to Texas. Moving to So Cal in 2003, she began directing Harmony Showcase Chorus in January of 2007.
With a background that includes serving as a US Marine in the field of electronics, public access television, public speaking, internet marketing, being an author and Life Coach, she brings wide variety of experience to rehearsals each week.
It is her love of people, the harmonies found in the music and the joy of singing that allows her to be a creative force within this dynamic group of women.
